Depressed

I've just been reviewing all your comments on the last post...

What a kerfuffle!

Anyway, just to say apologies for not having posted anything recently. To be honest I am quite depressed at the moment. No particular reason, just that low energy thing that occasionally descends where my normal enthusiasm and passion aren't flowing as they should.

Maybe it is because I am 44 next week, maybe it is because I haven't managed to get any Christmas cards written or the Christmas tree up yet or maybe it is because I am worried for the future.

Anyway I just wanted to let you all know how much I appreciate your participation on my Blog. It has become one of my most enjoyable pastimes - and it just wouldn't be the same without the Stephens, DLOGS, Annes, Cs, Brads and Anonymice of this world...

Rachel - maybe taking time out to look again at Chapter 22 in 'Ask and it is given' re 'moving up the scale' might help? or I find the 'Process no12 - Wouldn't it be nice if .....' often works as a starting point for me to lift my spirits. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Rachel read this

Footprints

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed He was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from His life. For each scene He noticed two sets of footprints in the sand. One belonging to Him and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of His life flashed before Him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of His life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of His life.

This really bothered Him and He questioned the LORD about it. LORD you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me.

The LORD replied, my precious, precious child, I Love you and I would never leave you! During your times of trial and suffering when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.

One day i had a mum, the next day she was dead. When i saw her laying there i just knew it wasn't her. It was like watching a cardboard cutout.

It was the clearest sign to me that we each and all are pure existence and when we die we simply move on.

My mum had moved on.

She gave me everything, including this - the most valuable of all signs.

From that day on loneliness, purposefulness and meaning held no sway.

My own depression was caused by the unraveling of the illusion we call life and the acceptance of the truth - that we are all essentially One consciousness, struggling to be both separate and belong at the same time. We need to do neither.

Just be.

Let the spirit of adventure, passion and love be all pervasive in each and everyones life for ever more.

There are greater challenges ahead, beyond this expression.

Come on ladies and Gents - lets spread the love for this wonderful and unselfish lady.....

I guarantee you that within 18 months that a business will emerge headed by Rachel that will help Entrepreneurs navigate the at times perilous journey of being in business!

We are all human, we all have our fears and our concerns and it takes an awful amount of courage and strength not only to face them them head on but to keep our individual and collective spirits held high and focused on our goals!

44........ dam girl your looking good! It's all in the eyes...

LOL - Here come the girls!

This Too Shall Pass

If I can endure for this minute
Whatever is happening to me,
No matter how heavy my heart is
Or how dark the moment may be-

If I can remain calm and quiet
With all the world crashing about me,
Secure in the knowledge God loves me
When everyone else seems to doubt me-

If I can but keep on believing
What I know in my heart to be true,
That darkness will fade with the morning
And that this will pass away, too-

Then nothing in life can defeat me
For as long as this knowledge remains
I can suffer whatever is happening
For I know God will break all of the chains

That are binding me tight in the darkness
And trying to fill me with fear-
For there is no night without dawning
And I know that my morning is near.

Hi Rachel

Have you considered you may be affected with Seasonal Affective Disorder ?
As the nights become darker, so do many peoples moods.
I have included a link below where you can buy lamps which give off high intensity light similar to natural daylight.

I really like your idea Brad about the SAD lighting. I have been looking at something like this to market in U.S for sometime.

Really excellent.

Rachel, it will pass. Many people feel the same way at the moment, It seems to come from nowhere, but something has sparked it off. With me it was baby p. Other people I know, who work so very hard, have a run of bad luck and feel as though someone or something is conspiring against them no matter how hard they try. Be kind to yourself Rachel and stay true to who you are and what you want to achieve in your life. Rest assured you are a wonderful lady, you can see from your posts that you inspire great love and affection, including mine. I am so glad you there Rachel.

It is when we live with robots
Work like robots
Pretend to be robots
That depression takes hold

The best remedy i have found
Is in watching God

When i first looked
I couldn't find him

Then on closer inspection
He was right there in front of me

In the eyes of a child
In the hair of the woman i love
In the voice of great leaders
In a carers touch

To melt those old killer robots
All you need is love!

Nah..its just a place where we all hang out with one of the UK's most talented and successful entrepreneurs, Rachel Elnaugh.

I think this is the baby you want.

BMJ, it is an everything blog, we are all here to give our opinions, and to help others if so needed. I myself was pi.... off not that long ago, and I let it be known here on Rachels Blog, and subsequently received a phone call from Rachel and nice words from others, ie, Stephen, Anne and Hani, oh and Mr C.
So you see it is all about helping each other, when we are down, have business issues and to talk about life in general.
It just so happens that Rachel is in need this time, and we are all here to here to help her as she helps us all unconditionally, is Rachel therefore not entitled to ask for help also, I THINK SHE IS.
As I have said before, people like Rachel are continuously helping others, and then one day they are the ones that need some inspiration/help, and yes who do they turn to?, just think about that for a minute or 2, we all put on to others to much sometimes without a thought of how the other person, (in this case Rachel), may be feeling!! Why don't you occasionally ask how Rachel is, wether it be via this blog or her email, which is advertised on her website.
I hope this puts your thoughts into some form of perspective now.

DLOG and Stephen it seems as soon as anybody makes a comment you jump strsight down their throat. I was asking a simple question thats all. I'm new to business and looking for opportunities etc. If you will notice through several areas on this blog I have asked Rachel questions or left comments and never got a reply anyway, so thats why im asking is this a members only club!! So if you two will just chill out that would great thank you. I really dont need an internet argument with you guys, Im a little too old for that.

Sorry BMJ, I did not mean to jump down your throat, I was just trying to explain what I believe this bolg is all about.

You will gain some knowledge from here about many things, business, the world, and of course inspiration.

It just so happens that this particular post by Rachel was a 'reach out and ask' post. And must add, this is the first time, well, since I have been posting comments here, that Rachel has actually seeked some inspiration and sincerity from us, is that such a bad thing?

One day you may find yourself in a similar situation, well you now know where you can come for some words of help/inspiration.

I hope this answers your comment, and once again sorry if I seem to have offended you, it was not my intention, and I doubt it was Stephens intention, he is a very good man you know, always helpful and mindful of the needs of others.

Definitely not a members only club, BMJ. All are welcome to put their views and requests, i reckon.

People think that its a club when people dont agree with them.

DLOG is right. This blog is a little more than your average business blog. Its also a place where you can make friends for life. A place where you can express your anger and disapointment. A place where you can be who you really are. As opposed to being a pawn in someone elses game. The real icing on the cake is you get to associate with people you respect. As opposed to being dictated to by them.

No strings blog!

BMJ said...

Ok thats fair enough, just wasnt sure. thanks

No problem, it's nice that you think to ask and air your feelings/comments.

Look forward to more comments from you.

Anyway, back to Rachel, how are you feeling today?

Hello Everyone

Many thanks for all your support.

It was a difficult weekend but much was resolved, and yes, things are much better today thank you.

Plus we now have a lovely 9ft tall Christmas tree sparkling away in the lounge...

I allowed fear and sadness to temporarily cut me off from the flow of light and love. I'd forgotten just what a dark and terrible place that is to be.

R

PS When you are an entrepreneur there is no such thing as 'business'; for me it is an all-consuming lifestyle choice which embraces everything. So apologies if you do not perceive this to be a 'business' blog and if I do not stick to 'serious business topics'! Actually managing your motivation and personal energy through difficult times is one of the most important business topics there is...

Hi Rachel and All.

Sorry it has been a long time since I commented I have been really busy with our new venture.

We all have our down turns your not alone. I had one this morning with the stress of Christmas around the corner and guess what, the first place I turned to was here to get back into a positive mindset, so that says something.

I hope you are all well and have a fabulous Christmas.

On another note Dlog your in digital printing right? How can I get in touch with you?

Best Wishes
