Well, I am currently preparing for my next Entrepreneurial Masterclass at the British Library Business Centre - 17 entrepreneurs booked this week to take a step back from their business and get clarity about their brand and ways they can potentially market their business more successfully...
It's a very practical course, and one of the exercises I set is to arrive at the 5 words which sum up their brand. For example MAGICAL + CHILDLIKE + FANTASY + KINGDOM + FUN can only be Disney; Disney now 'owns' these words - and that's very powerful from a marketing perspective.
So my question to you this Super Saturday is: What 5 words do you think I have chosen to sum up the 'Rachel Elnaugh' brand?
Closest answer by next Friday (12 September) gets a FREE place on my next Masterclass on 22 January 2009 - worth £495 + VAT.

That's fab feedback so far - many thanks folks!
Mental Mogul - the 'RACHEL' is a stroke of genius! 'Lucky' I like that...
Leona - 'Didactic'; had to look that one up on Google!
Anne - funnily enough 3 of your words are exact matches to the [original] Red Letter Days' brand values...
Elz - something tells me you won't be a winner! Not that you'd want to come on one of my Masterclasses anyway...
Keep 'em coming folks!
To be fair to Elz if that's how she sees the brand then that's how she sees it.
I'm thinking that she was probably dropped as a child...

Thanks for this - Five Magic Words is a great idea and really fits well with the Marketing Magician's Masterclass I'm running on October 9th - see http://www.stefandrew.com/training/
MarketingMagicianMasterclasses.html for details.
My words have to be .....
Planning
Foresight
Entrepreneur
Marketing
Google
and a sixth ....Strategy
PS I hope the Google Ads are working well.

In that case, could I possibly swap it for 'enlightening'. Didatic is the most descriptive word for the message I wanted to put across but it is no use if people don't understand the message!!
I looked didadicdicicic up too and it is a shame that such a useful word should be called a stupid name like that..
Who makes these words up anyhow..?
Perhaps we could give them a call and complain....
heh
More
Feminine
Than
Deborah
Meaden
It is a nice punchy word too, shame.
However, I have had a mini marketing lesson already through this competition
'make sure your message is clear to the general population'
so I am glad I entered already (common sense really, just need to be reminded to apply it from time to time!).
You just can't beat market research can you :)!
But Leona your use of the word grabbed attention and was a focal point - there is a lot to be said for standing out from the crowd by being unusual...

OK folks, as promised here are my five words:
EXPERIENCED (been there, got the T-shirt)
ENERGISED (Expressive, Opinionated, Outspoken, Bold)
OPEN (Honest, Authentic, Pure)
CONNECTED (Intuitive, Emotional)
CREATIVE (Innovative, Cultivating)
I must admit all your words are actually far better than mine - but reviewing all the entries I would say the closest, in mix and spirit, is LEONA.
So congratulations to Leona and many thanks to you all for your comments! They have given me much food for thought...
Regards
Rachel
PS Leona weren't you on X Factor :-) ???
Still think :
Pretentious
Winger
Predatory
Manipulative
Ego-Centric
is closer -
And i can't see how you concluded that leona won it. You could intepret in a lot of ways. Anne and Hani were closer in my mind. But i still think what you chose was the most boring of the lot.
Except for thedlog who was even more boring.
Boring, boring, Boring Rachel.
Yey, thank you. I am very excited and grateful for the opportunity.
I will send you an email with my details.
See you in January :D
As for the ex factor, trust me you don't want to hear me sing!!
Best Wishes
Leona
Sorry,
A bit late in. I'm going for:
EXPERIENCED
ENERGISED
OPEN
CONNECTED
CREATIVE
hope that is closer than Leona.
lol cheat!!
Well done Leona! Well deserved.
Elz - I think I'm going to pray for you :-)

Rachel
Far too late to win, and I live with the convicts anyway!
Nonetheless, here are my 5 words to describe Rachel:
Mark
Paul
Eddie
Michael
Jack
Whether it is a judgement made today or one made in 50 years, our characters are really only made clear through the lives of our kids.
The words we use for each other will depend greatly on today's circumstances...whether we are viewed as a success or a failure, by our looks and our dress sense and by our perceived assets and liabilities, strengths and weaknesses.
As Rachel surely knows, these words are temporal, superficial, and usually incredibly inaccurate.
Whether we want it or like it or not, our kids will, by and large, reveal more than anything about our own characters. I only wish I could keep this in mind more often when I arrive home tired and cranky!
Congrats, Rachel, on the very many positive things that others have said about you (apart from Elz, whose response says far more about her than it does about you!).
Best
Dr Dave, the struggling bookseller of North Sydney.
PS. I am actually of convict stock myself, and proud of it, so please don't take this the wrong way!
Dave
Hi Dave
What a fab comment and how right you are!!!

Rachel
I love your work here. I used it from http://5magicwords.com and had a ball with my students the week BEFORE school started. YES!!
Then, I created journal entry tasks and games. We have been doing individual and group ex. My dean loves this and I have shared it all with my colleagues. I can upload the documents to you too.
Let me know if you want the success. We are doing great work.
I think that ENERGIZED is spelled with a 'z' instead of an 's' - or is that just the AMERICAN spelling?
