The £Million Desk
I've got some wonderful clients and none more so than Northampton based PhotoArtistry. They reproduce digital prints in all types of media - on canvas, wood block, aluminium and embedded in acrylic - and in return for my help created this beautiful bespoke acrylic desk for my new office.
Those of you who follow feng shui will know that it's good to have lots of wealth and money symbolism in the area you work; the desk is a bed of £50 notes sandwiched in acrylic, and is a nod to the piles of money the Dragons had in the Den.
Thank you PhotoArtistry - the desk is just fabulous and is loved by everyone who sees it!

My God, doesn't that look appetizing!!

The desk, or the woman sitting behind it? ;-)
Now let me see. Let's assume that the money was real. Money can't buy happiness, only options, Hmmm!!!

That's one hell of a "honeypot".
Forget £Million Desk! More like £Million Bed! I'd sleep on it any day! Are those real £50 notes embedded in the acrylic?
Anonymous, I replied first, so that gives me first refusal, don't you think?!

Both table and Rachael look fabulous. Great job Anne. There are some very inspiring people on this blog
I don't want to sound churlish but I hope they got permission:
"Under section 18(1) of the Forgery and Counterfeiting Act 1981 it is a criminal offence for any person, without the prior consent in writing of the Bank of England, to reproduce on any substance whatsoever, and whether or not on the correct scale, any Bank of England banknote or any part of a Bank of England banknote. The Bank of England also owns the copyright in its banknotes."

What's the penalty C?
Imprisonment I think, but don't worry, I will visit you!!

I suspect with the desk the BoE would be more concerned with the copyright infringement than a charge of counterfeiting.
You can get the details of how to get permission from:

Absolutely beautiful, Ann!- and the woman behind the desk too! Is this the foretaste of things to come?
Thanks very very much everyone, it was an absolute delight to make. I feel very blessed and privileged to be able to run a business that has so much creative talent. You should see the energy and excitement here at PhotoArtistry once projects like these have been completed. The fab thing is whether it's a desk, screen, room divider or whatever, each design is unique.
Anthia-Ofo, yes it certainly a taste of things to come!

That is so Alpha Male!
How so Rafa? wealth and money is not the preserve of the Alpha domain is it?
Anne
Funnily enough that is exactly what my (Alpha Male) husband said when he saw it Rafa!
But for me it is more about feng shui and focus - and having sat at it for a month or so now it really does work. With 5 kids I still have a big overhead you know !!!
Focus is key in business which is why things like Definite Chief Aim statements (read Napoleon Hill) and visualisation boards are really effective tools in achieving your goals.
In the same way, romantic symbolism in the bedroom improves relationships...
I forgot to mention folks, we are now taking orders for beds with romantic symbols... :-)
Anne
Absolutely genius :D
Hmmm, that table looks awfully tacky in my opinion.
What The Fuck?? How many sycophants can we employ here?
What The Fuck?? How many sycophants can we employ here?
Oh well Docman, nice to see you keep your own Blog so updated and filled with comments & activity.
Clearly you don't have any sycophants - or indeed, any other kind of following for that matter...
Don't be angry. Don't be scared Docman. There are some good people here.
Stephen.
